ZARQA, Jordan - On the occasion of the 2018 World Intellectual Property Day, the Arab Society of Intellectual Property (ASIP) held two training workshops which aimed at raising awareness on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights protection.
ASIP, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture – Zarqa and Abu-Ghazaleh for Intellectual Property (AGIP) held the first workshop entitled “Introduction to Intellectual Property”.
The workshop discussed topics related to Intellectual Property including:
1. General Introduction to Intellectual Property and Trademarks
2. Law on the Copyright and Related Rights
3. Definition and Conditions for Patentability
ASIP held the second workshop in cooperation with the Licensing Executives Society - Arab Countries (LES-AC) entitled “Dispute Resolution of Domain Names”.
The workshop discussed topics related to Domain Names including:
1. What is a Domain Name?
2. What is UDRP?
3. Who is the Registrar?
4. What are the Elements of the UDRP?
5. The Advantages of the UDRP.
