	Talal Abu Ghazaleh Organization was established in 1972. It is now the leading Arab group in the professional services field in the Arab world. 	When Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property (AGIP) was established, as TMP Agents in 1972 in Kuwait, we knew that we were facing a considerable challenge. Intellectual property protection in the region was still in its early stages of development. However, since then we at Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property have devoted our efforts to promoting the importance of IP protection throughout the Arab countries.

	Arab Society For Intellectual Property (ASIP)
	The idea of establishing an Arab professional organization concerned with organizing the intellectual property profession in the Arab World and providing technical assistance to the Arab countries in all related domains of IP originates with a group of pioneer experts in this field, most prominently Mr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh who made intensive communications and meetings since February 1984 with Dr. Irbad Bogesh, the General Director of World Intellectual Property Organization, and Dr. Alfred Brainer, Secretary General of International Federation of Industrial Property Protection, and Dr. Eric Hoiser, Chairman of the German Patent Office, in order to translate the foundation idea into a tangible reality. The organization’s main objective is to enhance and develop the protection of intellectual property rights through various means of teaching and education to explain the nature of work in this field and its effective role in the regional economy.
